Surgical Tech Position Summary:

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedures. Ensures all instruments are cleaned and sterilized and functioning properly. Assists anesthesiologist when blocks are required for surgery. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

THE SURGICAL TECH CVOR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Minimum Education: College, military or vocational training required.
Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Must possess or be able to obtain CST certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Certification for any new hire is required within 180 days of hire. BLS required.
