Position Summary:

The RN Clinical Coordinator of Surgery assists the Director in the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit and assumes responsibility for the unit in the Director’s absence. The RN Clinical Coordinator assures the delivery and continuity of patient care serving as a resource for subordinate staff, facilitating problem solving, assisting with Quality Improvement Activities, staff education and assuring compliance with established policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program 
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid AZ RN License or valid multistate license from a recognized compact state acceptable in AZ
• Basic Life Support (BLS) 
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). If employee has ACLS, BLS is not required. 
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• CNOR preferred
• APEX innovations completed within 90 days of hire and annually
• APEX NIH stroke scale assigned and completed within 90 days of hire and annually
