Unit Description: Our cardiac rehab RNs monitor patients and are required to be proficient in telemetry technology. The RN is responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients, serves as patient advocate, and provides teaching, counseling and emotional comfort to patients and family members. BLS/ACLS certification is required. Please note that our cardiac RNs do not assist with stress testing but are expected to coach patients on healthy living, diet and exercise. Per diem RN hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for our monitored exercise patients.
On-call: Not required.
