Job Summary
Business Experience Technology (BXT) is passionate about the technology, systems and tools that support the customer lifecycle (sales, activation, billing, support, etc) for Comcast Business customers, and these tools and systems are foundational to our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations and support an excellent customer experience. Responsible for leading a team of Software Development and DevOps Engineers in the planning, designing, implementation and support of software application platforms. This role drives development and application platform strategies, standards, and performance metrics, provides direction to the team consisting of employees and vendor members and helps develop team’s objectives in alignment with business strategy. Typically, this role will manage one or two scrum teams.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, designing, development and delivery of software and web applications, including new initiatives, enhancements, and modifications.
- Manage a team of software and DevOps engineers and provide direction and guidance to meet or exceed teams and department goals.
- Establish and continuously evolve the processes and procedures for handling various platform software delivery and engineering tasks including production monitoring and operations, release management, and CI/CD processes.
- Continually evaluate and improve engineering practices and processes to deliver maximal value to our customers.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to craft policies around application and platform architecture, design philosophies, and engineering.
- Manage intake and collaborate with multiple teams for security best practices, own and manage security audits and compliances.
- Advance the employees career growth and coach them to become future leaders.
- Implement and review employee performance metrics.

Job Specification:
- Software development experience preferably in Web and Database applications using Angular, Java, Spring Framework, and Cloud technologies with experience in Microservices architecture.
- Experience in managing software development and testing teams.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, security, development, testing, and operational best practices.
- Experience in CI/CD and Agile delivery practices.
- Angular and JavaScript experience a plus
- AWS and Azure are nice to have. Â
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in management and guiding teams in building large-scale, distributed, cloud-based applications.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle with experience driving quality software and efficient production operations, with continuous development and delivery.
- Proficient in Linux, Java, Spring boot, Cloud foundry
- 8 to 10 years of experience with over 2 years in managing teams and delivery.

Bachelor's Degree
