Job Summary
The Unified Endpoint Management team is responsible for the modern management platforms used to deliver business applications and secure all laptops, desktops and mobile devices across Comcast. Partnering with various teams and organizations, we develop solutions to provide a consistent and secure client device experience for all employees and contractors. We are currently expanding our team to help build out a new Microsoft Intune environment for the Comcast Government Services group. The Intune Platform Engineer will work closely within a team of engineers to architect and deploy new solutions supporting modern device management within our government cloud environment.This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. Core Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
- Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Develops software update process for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases.
- Trains junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
- Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
- Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
- Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior level Software Development Engineers.
- Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification and within budget.
- Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
- Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts and skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
- Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

- Leads as a device management SME for the engineering team, partnering with other functional areas to ensure the most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs.
- Architects the overall platform implementation strategy and participates in appropriate forums, meetings, presentations, etc. to meet goals.
- Develops custom scripts and automation workflows to support device configuration and metric reporting.
- Develops device management strategies to support modern management and cloud native integration.
- Experience configuring and supporting Windows Autopilot device enrollment workflows.
- Partners with vendors to design and test new platform features and functionality.
- Demonstrated experience in packaging and deploying Windows applications, remediation scripts, and custom configurations at scale in a production environment.
- Experience with developing solutions to support and working within a tiered enterprise access model.
- Develops and implements solutions to secure and harden client endpoints in an enterprise environment.
- Presents solutions to leadership, architecture, engineering, and operational support teams.
- Ensures solutions are well engineered, scalable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
- Tracks and documents requirements for platform projects and enhancements.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and concepts supporting cloud native device management.
- Designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring, and supporting components within a modern digital service platform in production environments.
- Experience in creating, administering, and maintaining Azure cloud resources specifically Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Network, Azure DNS, and API Manager.
