Shift: Sun - Tue 7am - 7:30pm, every other Sat 7am - 3:30pm

Description:

  • Responsible to perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
  • Recognize unusual test results and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively.
  • May perform Pre-Analytical tasks (receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing), CLIA waived tests, and moderate and/or high complexity testing on patient, donors, or biologic products using routine chemistries utilizing automated / semi-automated methods with internal support systems.
  • Recognize and report unusual test results in a timely manner to appropriate management.
  • Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and/or technical problems and take appropriate steps to resolve.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry.
  • Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific discipline.
