Description:
-Bachelors in Environmental or Chemistry
-FTIR, Spectroscopy, XRF
-Wet Chemistry
Perform routine and semi-routine chemical and physical analyses on a limited variety of materials for the support of fluid analysis, research and development, and production activities with guidance of higher level technicians and chemists.
-Understanding of laboratory tests to be performed on process chemicals/fluids
-Adhere to the principles of the Quality System
-Perform tests per defined methods.
-Record data in accurate and concise manner
-Recognize and react to out of spec data
-Report data to internal customers
-Make laboratory preparations under supervision
-Help keep laboratory clean and all equipment in good working order
-Complete assigned work in a timely fashion
-Adhere to all lab safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
-Provide support to lower level technicians
-Perform new procedures without direct supervision
-Calibrate and maintain equipment
-Interaction with internal and/or external customers
-Report data to internal and external customers
Conducts quality testing methods to determine pH, Alkalinity, melting point, viscosity, and IR spectroscopy of products. A successful candidate will handle the set up and testing of multiple samples simultaneously.
