Pay Range: $ 24.00-$26.00/hour

Position Overview

D elivers materials to job site, inspects an d maintains truck, reports shortages an d claims to supervisor an d assists in lo a d ing an d storing of materials. Typically, d riving a truck with a capacity of more than three tons, but may be a less experience d C D L or tractor trailer d river.

  • Completes d aily equipment pre-inspection
  • Recor d s all merchan d ise that is returne d by truck, assists in unlo a d ing material returne d for cre d it
  • Follows gui d elines establishe d by the D epartment of Transportation
  • Provi d es Excellent Customer Service
  • Relays messages sent by customers while on job
  • Assists supervisor, other employees an d other work areas, as assigne d
  • Assists in maintaining goo d housekeeping in yar d an d warehouse
  • Complies with all company policies an d gui d elines
  • Safe an d efficient operation of truck mounte d forklift
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck
  • Participates in an d completes assigne d trainings
  • Performs other d uties as assigne d by Management


Knowle d ge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum e d ucation preferre d - High School D iploma or general equivalency d egree (GE D ).
  • Minimum experience preferre d - 6 months C D L experience preferre d . Basic C D L experience with flat be d s an d /or tractor trailers require d . 1 year C D L experience require d for interstate commerce.
  • Special skills require d - Ability to d o basic math, re a d or d ers, write instructions an d complete forms.
  • Ability to effectively an d professionally communicate with customers, other employees an d
  • supervisors using verbal an d written skills.
  • Ability to d eal constructively with conflict an d recognize potential problems.
  • Maintains current operator's license an d meets company d river qualification requirements.
  • Knowle d ge an d ability to use safe lifting techniques
  • Physical d eman d s inclu d e stooping, ben d ing, twisting an d throwing. Working in a variety of climates an d environmental con d itions. Ability to lift up 100 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.
  • Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies ( e.g. Smartphone, GPS an d other necessary business applications)
