QPS Employment Group is hiring Experienced Maintenance Technicians at a company in Oconomowoc, WI. If you're looking for a great company to learn and grow with, this is your opportunity. As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently during the evening shift. Your focus will be on maintaining and troubleshooting machinery, with a strong emphasis on packaging equipment. Your resourcefulness and ability to work independently will be key to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
- Respond to emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service
- Ensure all hydraulic equipment is in working order
- Be a resourceful problem-solver who can work independently
- Understand the urgency of getting production back up and running safely ASAP
- Preventive maintenance (PMs) and other routine tasks are essential to minimize disruptions
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and attention to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Ensure that all maintenance activities align with safety regulations and quality standards
- Work closely with production teams to address any machinery issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to maintain smooth operations
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment
- Exposure to packaging machines is highly advantageous
- Resourcefulness and ability to troubleshoot independently
- Strong sense of urgency to minimize production downtime
- Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP
