Food Quality Technician

Food Quality Assurance Lead

$19 - 25/ hour , OKC

• Conduct inspections of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials upon receipt to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Monitor production processes, including sanitation practices, temperature controls, and product handling, to ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished products, including visual inspections, sensory evaluations, and laboratory testing, to verify product quality and consistency.
• Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and report any deviations from standards to management for corrective action.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, food safety standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated judgment and discretion with regard to confidential information
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and pacing
• Superior computer literacy skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Outlook) and the ability to learn new computer applications with ease
• HACCP, and one of the following certifications BRC, SQF or PCQ Certification
• 2 years' experience in a quality food program
• Experience in the area of compliance or quality assurance required
