We are currently hiring for multiple roles at a production facility located in Osage, IA. These positions can be considered entry level manufacturing with an opportunity to advance from within. This company is a long-established distributor of commercial and industrial insulation products, today they have evolved to provide a unique combination of expertise, service, and economy in supply to bus, coach and rail car manufacturers across North America. The company specializes in the supply of added value components packaged into kits for JIT delivery to satisfy all levels of production line requirements utilizing a wide range of laminating, cutting and milling equipment. Manufacturing equipment includes CNC guided Router Tables, High Pressure Water-Jets, Reciprocating and Drag Knife Flash-Cut machines, Trumpf Turret presses as well as automated high-speed die presses. Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, power saws, knives, or scissors.
- Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pileups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.
- Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
- Stock and sort products for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
Production Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for entire shift.
- Must be able to do repetitive lifting (Up to 20 lbs.).
- Must be able to do fast paced hand eye work.
- Must be able to do repetitive bending.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Previous experience with a tape measure preferred.
