Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Medical Records Expeditor to support our Veteran Affairs Operations.

What part would you play in this role?

As a Medical Records Expeditor, you will be responsible for completing routine medical records office work such as scanning, organizing, and filing medical documents. Communicates with government agencies, regional offices, and Leidos QTC Health Services personnel to obtain and/or send medical records data.

 

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Review case management system to identify outstanding reports and diagnostic results.
  • Communicate with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to obtain reports.
  • Review exam reports sent over from medical providers to ensure all tests ordered have been completed.
  • Upload diagnostic results received to the case management system.
  • Coordinate with medical providers as needed.
  • Prioritize all requests from the client to expedite delivery of a case.
  • Obtain late reports a diagnostic by phone, email, fax and/or Leidos QTC Health Services portal.

You must have: 

  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) or 2 years of experience in lieu
  • 0 to 1 years of medical records experience.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Ability to recognize diagnostics by sight.
  • Experience with medical documentation.
  • MS Office experience

Typical Day: 

  • Monday – Friday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm 
  • Remote position - Eastern Standard Time Zone

Pay and Benefits:

Pay Range: $17.20 - $18.37
