Description:
Pharmacy Technician facilitates the delivery of medications to patients and their families in the hospital and clinic setting, while also helping coordinate payments & insurance verifications
-Assisting in the preparing and filling of medication orders and medication carts;
-Processing prescriptions
-Distributing medication to patients;
-Performing QA inspections; maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required (within 90 days after starting)
- This person must be able to perform dosage calculations;
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel;
- Perform basic office environment tasks;
- Have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment - - Required to perform duties; and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. High volume retail pharmacy
- Customer Service / Communication skills
- Ability to walk around hospital for extended time
Must Haves:
1+yrs of hospital experience or 2+ years retail pharmacy technician experience
High volume - 200+ transactions a day
National Certification (CPhT OR PCTB) - can obtain within 3 months of working but must have exam scheduled before starting
If no hospital experience, need to have over 2+ years at a retail setting
