Job Summary
The Data Science team within the Enterprise Business Intelligence team builds custom AI/ML solutions that solve the company’s most important business problems. We are looking for a candidate to set the AI/ML vision for outbound marketing communication. The ideal candidate will have experience applying machine learning to marketing problems such as targeting, upsell, 1:1 communication and churn reduction.Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Identify and manage various data science initiatives that drive business impactÂ
- Lead complex cross-functional data science programs and translate business questions into solvable data science problems, create technical requirements, choose and correctly utilize appropriate methodology and discipline to deliver end-to-end projects.Â
- Build road map to define top AI opportunity with potential to create largest business value at scale, build execution plans, and strengthen our partnerships.Â
- Build models to optimize marketing efforts that utilize online & offline transactions, product usage, structured & unstructured text and media/behavioral/attitudinal data.Â
- Partner closely with all marketing teams to innovate and make critical decisions about where we invest.Â

Simplify complexity and drive awareness across teams to build team brandÂ
- Synthesize and simplify the natural complexity of AI/ML recommendations so it drives broader business adoption, buy-in and action.Â
- Develop and communicate goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines and key performance metrics to reach goals.Â
Personal leadership and team developmentÂ
- Frequently serve as team lead on multiple projects, mentor and train junior team members.Â
- Grow and expand skillset of team with an eye towards diverse & forward pushing skills that span machine learning methods, data engineering, tooling, data products and analytics.Â
- Educate other departments on data science methodologies, concepts and algorithmic advancements.Â
Professional Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in the marketing domain defining AI/ML strategies that drive ROIÂ
- Proven ability to articulate questions for technical and non-technical audienceÂ
- Diverse experience with ability to identify most appropriate techniques with a preference for driving business impact over technical amazementÂ
- Deep expertise in supervised and unsupervised machine learning, modeling and algorithms with a strong focus on delivering use-cases and solutions at speed and scaleÂ
- Experience conceiving, implementing and continually improving machine learning data science projects and leading diverse data science teams through complex multi-stage projectsÂ
- The technical depth to guide a team of AI/ML experts in model evaluation, tuning and performance, operationalization and scalability of scientific techniques and establishing decision strategiesÂ
- Extensive background in translating technical findings into easy to understand deliverables rooted in use case applications that drive business adoption.Â
- Exceptional verbal and written skills and knack to interact with both technical and business partners by creating effective frameworks to aid discussion of complicated topics. Â
- An active listener, intellectually curious and conscious of voices that have not yet been heard.  Â
- Cross functional team player with a 'can-do' attitude with a lean-forward bias to find opportunities and drive resultsÂ

Preferred Education Level:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or other quantitative field.
