Position Overview

Directs the work of Mil lwo rk A s s e m b l ers who assemble mil lwo rk components. This position is a working role but is also r es ponsible for leading a team who overse es the assembly proc es s in an efficient manner.

Es sential Job Duti es

  • Lay out mil lwo rk component suppli es and materials on carts or floor.
  • Stock plat es for component set-up.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets ins ide and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commoditi es , and materials.
  • Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
  • Assist in the set-up of component assembly proc es s.
  • Monitor production workflow proc es s assisting other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment nec es sary to the assembly proc es s.
  • Adhere to es t ablished safety rul es and regulations and follows all safety procedur es ; maintain a safe environment.
  • Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacl es and keeping all bays/staging areas clean and organized.
  • Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory as required by location management.
  • Retain an awaren es s of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free r es ults.
  • Participate in and complete assigned trainings .
  • Other duti es as assigned by Management.


Criteria for Lead

  • Working role that leads fewer than 10 associat es
  • Directs the work of the team - assigns duti es & tasks
  • Work in advanced mil lwo rk a s s e m b l y proc es s


Knowledge, Skills & Abiliti es

  • Minimum education required - High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum experience required - Prior carpentry experience helpful
  • Special skills required - Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer. Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, pr es s es , and staple guns.
  • Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatur es , lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Dusty and noisy environment when operating woodworking machin es and tools. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time.
  • Eye protection and hard sole leather sho es required at all tim es .
  • Available for overtime as needed.

  • 2+ years industry experience / Mil lwo rk a s s e m b l y
  • Excellent teamwork & customer relationships
