UNIT DESCRIPTION:Â
The Critical Care Center is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hour intensivist coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues.Â
Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts RN license. Â
- Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.Â
- Minimum of 2 years, within the past year, telemetry experience required.Â
- Strong current evaluation and evidence of up to date documented professional development requirements.Â
- Written recommendation from current manager to include demonstrated ability to perform under stressful situations, problem solve and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:Â
- BSN preferred.Â
- Evidence of completion of Critical Care Course or equivalent preferred.Â
- Current Charge nurse experience preferred.
- CCRN preferred.Â
- Previous experience working in Critical Care environment, including caring for patients with ventilators, critical infusions, or hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
- Willing to train in complex setting.
As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.
