Job Overview:
Michigan’s premier producer of Premium lubricants, process oils, greases, and Excel metalworking fluids. With over 50 years of industry experience, we offer a competitive advantage to include blending and custom formulating to our partners. Due to growth in our distribution , we are currently looking for an additional Field Services Technician. The qualified candidate will report to the Laboratory Manager. The ideal candidate will be detail orientated, highly motivated, and well-spoken in our fast-paced environment
General Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
· Provide technical support, guidance and reports for internal and external customers
· Visit customers’ sites for sampling, support and troubleshooting activities
· Follow procedures to test fluid samples to ensure specifications or requirements are met
· Answer technical questions and provide documents as needed to customers or the sales team
· Perform customer machine cleanouts as needed
· Support new product trials for customers
· Provide technical training programs for customers
· Other lab projects and tasks assigned by the lab manager as needed
· Occasional overnight travel required for Distribution related activities
Skills:
Quality control, Chemistry, Laboratory, Qc, Wet chemistry, Diagnosis, metalworking fluids, lubricants
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications:
in chemistry; or two years related experience in QC chemistry lab.
These fluids and client sites can be dirty and stinky like oil, need somebody who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
· Ability to problem solve using concrete variables in standardized situations
· Strong presentation skills – both written and oral
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Team player that wants to be part of a fast-paced organization
