The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct and indirect patient care. Â He/She applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Â The Registered Nurse must possess good communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, peers, patients and families. Â He/She works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality care is delivered.Â
Minimum Education
Must possess an active TN RN license or a compact state license with the intent to obtain a TN RN license within 30 days of hire.
Required Skills
Must have current BLS/CPR certification within 12 months of hire
Must obtain ACLS within 12 months of hire
PALS within 12 months of hire
HWC within 12 months of hire
