Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ā€¢Ā Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Security, Safety/EMS and Loss Prevention Departments
ā€¢Ā Ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained to effectively operate and service the resort
ā€¢Ā Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures
ā€¢Ā Ensure ongoing development of Public Safety personnel to achieve a high performing team culture
ā€¢Ā Process and coordinate all claims for general liability, workerā€™s compensation, and auto damage; work closely with designated third-party claims administrator
ā€¢Ā Conduct pre-employment and background interviews and assist in the pre-employment background screening process for all resort employees
ā€¢Ā Responsible for maintaining and promoting a ā€œTotal Safetyā€ culture for both Guests and Team MembersĀ 
ā€¢Ā Present for and participates in resort and corporate conference calls as requiredĀ 
ā€¢Ā Responsible for oversight of resort-wide CCTV system, including design, equipment procurement, installation, and maintenanceĀ 
ā€¢Ā Manage resort-wide access control (visitor screening, keys, locks, electronic systems)
ā€¢Ā Responsible for oversight and maintenance of records retention program
ā€¢Ā Maintain assigned inventories (radios, keys, etc.)
ā€¢Ā Conduct and coordinate required facility and equipment inspections (i.e. fall protection equipment, life safety equipment, ride inspections, 3rd party inspections, etc.)
ā€¢Ā Conduct required investigations following accidents, incidents, injuries, etc.
ā€¢Ā Plan and articulate both short and long-term goals to ensure the company's initiatives are metĀ 
ā€¢Ā Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the capital, expense, and labor budgets as they relate to the Public Safety DepartmentĀ 
ā€¢Ā Formulate action plans and analyze data/trends to drive continuous performance improvements and incident reductionĀ 
ā€¢Ā Responsible for the oversight of restitution and recovery from all external and internal loss prevention casesĀ 
ā€¢Ā Serve as ā€œManager on Dutyā€ as assigned
ā€¢Ā Serve as ADA Coordinator for the resort
ā€¢Ā Serve as ā€œIncident Commanderā€ during critical or emergency incidents.
ā€¢Ā Develop and maintain emergency response plans as outlined in the Emergency Response Manual and Safety Reference Guide.Ā 
ā€¢Ā Act as primary liaison with outside emergency service agencies (law enforcement, fire, and EMS) and regulatory agencies (DOL, DOH, DEC, EPA, OSHA, DMV)
ā€¢Ā Provide and coordinate training, to include specialized training such as de-escalation techniques, SAVE, and active shooter response
ā€¢Ā Collaborate with all members of leadership on operational challenges specific to but not exclusively security, safety and loss preventionĀ 
ā€¢Ā Perform, supervise and train staff to conduct audits of facilities, ride operations, processes and equipment
ā€¢Ā Plan and coordinate required and optional drills across the resort (MCI, ride evacuation, table-tops, active shooter)

Skills and Qualifications:
ā€¢Ā Must be at least 18 years old
ā€¢Ā Must possess and maintain a valid driverā€™s license
ā€¢Ā Must possess and maintain, or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire, a NY State Security Guard license
ā€¢Ā Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
ā€¢Ā For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
ā€¢Ā Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines.Ā  Position is required to be ā€œon callā€ for emergency situations.
ā€¢Ā Ability to lift over 50lbs
ā€¢Ā Must have Security, Safety, and/or Loss Prevention background with 3 years of leadership experience.Ā 
ā€¢Ā Must have experience leading teams, building and executing strategies.
ā€¢Ā A bachelorā€™s degree in Emergency Management, Hospitality or related field is required; additional ASP or CSP certification is preferred
ā€¢Ā NY EMT certification preferred, but not required
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the resort as a whole.

Salary Range: $70,000- $75,000 annuallyĀ
