$10,000 Commitment Bonus | Paid out in 4 equal installments over 24 months in 6-month increments. ​

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

 

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to provide patient and provider support by using ultrasound imaging technologies to aid in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions at our Triangle Heart Associates clinic in Durham, NC.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine and urgent echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3- dimensional, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices. 
  • Ability to thoroughly, and efficiently, evaluate pathology following current guidelines (American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), American College of Cardiology (ACC), etc.).
  • Assist in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography (IAC-Echo).
  • Analyze patient’s medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
  • Communicates technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines 
  • Respond to patient questions about procedures and equipment prior to starting the imaging process. 
  • Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system, off-line analysis systems as indicated. 
  • Attends required staff meetings and ensures ensuring continuing education requirements met to support professional growth and certification. 

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.

 

Experience

  • None required beyond above education/certification requirements.
  • Level I - Must obtain ARDMS certifications as required by each entity within 18 months of employment.
  • Level II - Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer.
  • Level III A minimum of 4 years' experience within specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion.

 

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification

  • ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography
  • ARDMS/CCI certification within 18 months of hire
  • BLS certification
