Starting at $22/hour, with pay based on experience

If you're someone who loves numbers, catches the little details others miss, and likes knowing that your work actually makes a difference, this could be a great fit.

This isn't your typical "sit in a corner and enter numbers all day" accounting position. You'll play an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly, with responsibilities including accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, job costing, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, thinks before they act, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

What We Offer

  • Starting pay of $22/hour, based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match
  • PTO and sick time
  • Company holidays and employee events
  • Training and opportunities to grow
  • A team-oriented work environment
  • The opportunity to be part of a winning team that takes pride in doing things the right way

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payments, account reconciliation, and outstanding balances
  • Assist with weekly and biweekly payroll processing for employees and subcontractors
  • Calculate, review, and process employee commissions and bonuses
  • Assist with job costing, ensuring labor, materials, and other job expenses are accurately recorded
  • Review job costs and investigate discrepancies or unexpected variances
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end accounting tasks
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial information in company and accounting systems
  • Research and resolve billing, payment, payroll, commission, and job-costing issues
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management
  • Work closely with Coordinators, Project Managers, Payroll, and Accounting teams
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle confidential employee and company financial information with discretion
  • Help identify problems and find solutions before they become bigger problems

What We're Looking For

You don't have to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who has a solid foundation and the right mindset.

You'll be a great fit if you are:

  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Organized and good at managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
  • A problem solver who thinks things through
  • Someone who follows processes but can recognize when something doesn't look right
  • Dependable and takes ownership of their work
  • Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team
  • Able to work with confidential information
  • Comfortable working in Excel and learning new software and systems
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy

Basic Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
