This position is to support a large federal mandate for Bird Flu crisis that has impacted livestock for the state. This will be an ongoing project with no end date at this time. There will be some potential for this to be a permanent role. The lab is a very clean and regulated lab with newer equipment.
Hours are 8-5, M-F
Description:
- Candidate will be working in the Animal Lab (animal handling experience strongly preferred)
- Will be helping process and do accessioning for incoming animal samples from different farms across the state of Ohio
- Will be doing data analysis and collection
- Help support manual data entry, labeling samples, sorting, and helping make sure the samples are going to the correct labs for testing
- Will follow SOPs and quality control and assurance
Qualifications:
- BS or Associates in Science
- 6+ months of industry experience (prior lab experience, Vet Technician, or Pharmacy Technician experience strongly preferred)
- Must have strong attention to detail and take feedback well
- Must have strong computer skills
- Experience with SOPs and Aseptic Technique
