Master Social Worker

Innovative Renal Care (formerly American Renal Associates) is hiring one full-time (40 hour) salaried Social Worker.  The position is split between two dialysis centers: Raceway Dialysis and South Laburnum Dialysis.  This position is meant for someone planning to work in-center (vs. work from home), but there is flexibility in setting your schedule based on patient needs and your preferences (both facilities operate Monday-Friday 6am-8pm).  There is no expectation to work on weekends or holidays and the Social Worker has no on-call responsibilities.

The role of the Social Worker in the dialysis setting is to form relationships with patients, assist new patients in their adjustment to renal disease, and assist all patients in achieving a good quality of life with tasks such as referrals to transplant evaluation, community resources, exploring transportation options, addressing mental health concerns, etc.

You will be working on an interdisciplinary team that includes a Nephrologist, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, a Dietician, an Administrative Assistant, support staff from our Corporate office, and Dialysis technicians. No experience working in a dialysis setting is needed; we are able to train the right candidate with some of the specific features of the renal population.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of social work (MSW).
  • Meet all state required regulations to practice in a dialysis setting.
  • Current state licensure (e.g. LCSW, LMSW), requirements for the state of practice.
  • Two years of clinical work experience, preferably in an ESRD setting.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Why choose Innovative Renal Care?

  • Be part of a team that makes a difference in people's lives!
  • Annual raises significantly above the industry standard.
  • We recognize your most recent dialysis experience to calculate paid time off accrual.

Our team lives by our values of Integrity, Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Results Driven, and Everyone Counts!
