Formulation Chemist
Description:
A leader in the metal working industry, located in upstate New York is looking for a Formulation Chemist. The company is well established in the marketplace and supplies many of the world’s leading companies with metal working fluids and other industrial products
The candidate will be responsible for:
- R & D on current and new products with a focus on improvements and sustainability
- Product testing on our line of products for hazards, durability, sustainability and blending procedures.
- Blending and analyzing agents and compounds for in lab testing and blending in the plant.
- Maintaining lab equipment, recording of experiments, documentation for products, technical advice to co-worker and customers.
- Represent the company to customers, trade show attendees and at conventions.
- Mentoring and leadership
- Assist Quality Control in analysis of finished products and received goods when needed

Chemistry, Formulation, Hplc, Laboratory, Gmp, Analytical chemistry, metallurgy
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
10-15 years of formulation experience in a complex product field
Five years of experience in metal working fluid
Analytical and independent thinking processes
Supervision and leadership
Good Laboratory Practices
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Excel and One Note
