Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Romulus, MI 48174
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension/conversion
Schedule: Start training on 1st Shift for 1 month. No guarantee what shift will be assigned. Working shift moving forward will depend on production. Monday – Saturday, 1st Shift (6:30am – 2:30pm), 2nd Shift (2:30pm – 10:30pm), 3rd Shift (10:30pm – 6:30am) + 20hrs OT
Pay: $37-39/HR + benefits
The main function of a manufacturing process engineer is to direct the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.
- Meet plant goals/standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and training of assigned plant operations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related
- 2-4 years of experience required
- Understanding CMM reports, laser welding experience (not required), global dimensioning, tolerancing.
- Must have 1 year of machining experience
