Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Minneapolis , MN

  • Develop, maintain and administer an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition.
  • Plan, direct and control the efforts of the Maintenance Department to maintain plant equipment and facilities commensurate with good engineering practices.
  • Direct and manage the maintenance and repairs of tanks, agitators, pumps, valves, instrumentation, filling equipment, case packers, palletizers, gas fired boilers, air compressors, and cooling tower.
  • Execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime and improve OEE.
  • Manage maintenance capital projects.
  • Assure that production equipment is capable of producing within the specifications and tolerances required by production.
  • Consult with process engineering and the production department regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment.
  • Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for maintenance department.
  • Ensures that all maintenance technicians are qualified and trained to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Schedule, track, and maintain all inspection records required for EHS and Regulatory requirements.
  • Completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; communicating issues and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Support plant wide Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Required Experience:
  • BS Degree Required; Engineering Preferred.
  • Management experience, leading a maintenance department with both operations and facilities responsibilities.  Chemical processing preferred.
  • Experience as part of a Site Leadership Team preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the following areas: Safety, preventative maintenance, Lean/6 Sigma operations and employee coaching & development. 
  • Experience with CMMS and ERP (SAP) preferred. 
  • PSM (Process Safety Management) experience preferred.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 environment preferred.
