Controls Engineer - Siemens

Our client, a leading provider of industrial solutions, is seeking a Controls Engineer with strong Siemens experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. We are looking for a mid to senior level Siemens PLC programmer who is strong with TIA Portal.

Job Title: Controls Engineer - Siemens
Location:  Saline, MI
Shift: 2^nd shift; 40-45 hours per week

What’s the Job?

• Develop and commission industrial control systems, PLC software, and HMI screens.
• Conduct PLC/HMI code development, installation, debugging, and commissioning.
• Conducting the peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.
• Ensure systems are designed and programmed according to customer and/or build specifications.
• Travel to customer sites for system installation and startup.

• Strong experience with Siemens (TIA Portal) PLC programming.
• Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning.
• AS or BS in Engineering. Equivalent years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
