About the role:
As a Research Associate, you will work with a team of scientists and research associates to advance our gene editing technologies, enabling the discovery of new therapeutics, and improving their function so they can be safely and effectively delivered to patients. You will primarily be performing tissue culture-based assays to evaluate gene modifications as measured by NGS and flow cytometry.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support all tissue culture needed to measure gene editing therapeutics, using both primary and immortalized cell lines
• Perform transfections, including with LNPs, transductions and electroporations of nucleic acids at 96-well scale
• Perform tissue culture assays for measuring gene modification outcomes via NGS and flow cytometry
• Utilize and improve methods for high-throughput tissue culture experiments, including VIAFLO pipettes and liquid-handling robots
• Produce RNA, LNP and virus research articles
