Summary: 

Performs nuclear medicine procedures and produces images for interpretation by authorized users.  Procedures will be performed in accordance with North Carolina Radioactive Materials Regulations, CCH Radioactive Materials License, department protocols and established standards of practice.  Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to radioactive materials and helps maintain the security of the nuclear medicine department.  Performs and maintains documentation for all required quality control.  Assesses and monitors patients, and provides appropriate patient care.

Required Education: 

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Associate’s degree is preferred.

Training commensurate with ARRT NM or NMTCB Certification and Advanced Modality Training in Nuclear Medicine - Required

Required License:

None

Required Certification: 

ARRT Certification in Radiography or ARRT Certification in Nuclear Medicine and/or NMTCB certification –required

American Heart Association BLS – Required within 90 days of hire
