Title: Plumber
Location: 5301 Stevens Creek Boulevard Santa Clara CA 95051 United States( Onsite)
Duration: 3 months with high possibility of extension
Pay rate: $24/hr (On W2)

We are looking for a “Specialist, Appeals “to join one of our Fortune 500 Multinational Real Estate Commercial clients.

Education & Qualifications: Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Summary:
Performs general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing and mechanical systems, water, and other distribution systems (water systems) throughout the facility. Responds to general maintenance duties and operates systems to include building engineer/technician operational duties as assigned.General maintenance duties also applicable

Responsibilities:

  • Repairs, installs, replaces, tests and troubleshoots the water, and distribution system including valves, fixtures, and outlets.
  • Installs new water , piping, and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, drawings, specifications.
  • Maintains waste and vent lines in good operating condition using a plumbers snake, vacuum plunger and/or jet washer.
  • Assists other department staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations where plumbing expertise is required.
  • Completes plumbing safety inspections and PMs on backflow devices as assigned (with proper certifications).
  • Acts as a resource to and provides training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair in a safe manner.
  • Performs general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Must Haves Skills:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of two years of related experience and/or trade school training Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level nice to have.
  • Valid Driver License may be required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
  • Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Complete all required and assigned HSE training at a satisfactory level,
    • Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements at all times,
    • Participate in all HSE-related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment, etc.
    • Report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required.
