Description
You will assist with the development of methods for detection, identification, and quantification of small molecules found in proprietary chemical processes and formulated products, help establish quality control protocols for commercial products, provide hands-on technical assistance to maintain analytical equipment, and analyze samples to support various projects. Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems are essential.
Responsibilities Include
- Routine analysis and evaluation of raw materials and products at all stages of the development process under stringent quality and time requirements.
- Working in collaboration with the Analytical and Product Chemistry Team to develop, validate, and standardize analytical methods for detection and quantification of small molecules found in chemical process samples, active ingredients, and formulated products.
- Assistance in the preparation of research reports and Standard Operating Procedures for internal and external use.
- Ensuring analytical equipment is maintained in good working order; troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Anticipation of additional resources, consumables, and equipment requirements as needed to ensure that work can be completed within the expected timeline.
- Maintain a safe and orderly laboratory and ensure compliance with all safety policies and practices.
Requirements
- Open to entry level, but someone with industry experience is preferred. Someone with bug/animal lab experience would be ideal.
- Industries preferred: chemical manufacturing, pharma, environmental testing
- 6 months of experience but need to have lab experience
- GC and HPC instrumentation experience is plus
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry is preferred
