Plumber

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in educational structures 
• Collaborates with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals 
• Follows building plans and blueprints 
• Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergencies 
• Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems 
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required 
• Prepares bids, budgets, and cost estimates 
• Has knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices 
• Has ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings 
• Is able to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted 
• Exhibits attention to detail and has the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously 
• Ensures code compliance through proper installation of plumbing components 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma/GED is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
• At least 2 years related experience.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
