Position Overview
De l i v e r s materials to job site, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. Success in this position could lead to other opportunities within the Driver, Warehouse and Yard functions.
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Essential Job Duties
- Operates Safely

- Checks or de rs for accuracy
- Organizes and secures load
- Obtains approval on all loads from supervisor for proper count and conditions of load
- Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse
- De l i v e r s and unloads materials to customer's satisfaction
- Follows gui de l i nes from supervisor
- Provi de s excellent customer service
- Assists in unloading material returned for credit
- Relays messages sent by customers while on job
- Assists supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned
- Complies with all company policies and gui de l i nes
- Other duties as assigned by Management
- Participates and completes assigned trainings
- Assists driver in evaluating de l i v e r y site, noting potential hazards, obstacles, physical challenges, etc.; gui de driver in maneuvering on and off customer's property to avoid damage as nee de d
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum education preferred - High School Diploma or general equivalency de gree (GED).
- Minimum experience preferred - Experience with de l i v e r y , material handling and/or warehouse
- Ability to do basic math, read or de rs, writes instructions and complete forms.
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
- Ability to de al constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
- Physical de mands inclu de stooping, bending, twisting and throwing. Working in a variety of climates and environmental conditions. Ability to lift up 100 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications).
