Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – RN
Currently seeking qualified Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to staff full-time 13-week contracts in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), at a great hospital in the Indianapolis area. Opportunities are available on day and night shifts. We are looking for ICU/CCU Nurses as well as Nurses with Neuro ICU Experience. 2 years of recent ICU experience is required. Guaranteed 36 hours per week. Current pay is $42-$51 per hour, but this does depend on location, facility, and contract availability.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse – RN
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed within the state of Indiana.
- 1-2 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility.
- Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
- Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility

Responsibilities of the ICU - RN
- Organize and deliver the care of a group of patients with needs of varying complexity.
- Plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and department.
- Provide Direct patient care in the ICU setting.
- Monitor and assess critically ill patient conditions while administering medications, treatments, and procedures ordered by the Provider.
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and multiple IV pumps.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status or emergencies, and be prepared to provide immediate intervention.
- Educate patients and family members regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in an electronic medical record.
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining safety standards to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in any continuous education and training to stay in compliance.
