Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelors within animal science is preferred but not required
- Experience working with animals (both large and small)
- Hours can be flexible but need to be there for morning and evening for feeding of the animals. Typical hours are 7AM-7PM but can take breaks throughout the day. Will be on call on the weekends so will have to live no further than 30 minutes away from the site.
Description:
- Help veterinarians out with samples and animal procedures
- Set up animal rooms (clean and disinfect rooms before and after studies)
- Monitoring of routine and room cleaning during live phase of study
- Collect protocol specific research data in accordance
- Good documentation practices
- Oversee animals health and well being
- Husbandry work
- Complete reporting and administrative duties within the assigned guidelines
- Attention to detail and being a problem solver
- Being able to perform physical activities and can lift 50+ LBS
