Position Overview
Delivers materials to job site, ins pe c ts and mainta ins tru c k, reports shortages and c laims to supervisor and assists in lo ad ing and storing of materials. Not a C DL driver but may require some c ertifi c ation depending on State law.
Essential Job Duties

- Obta ins ap pro val on all lo ad s from supervisor for pro per c ount and c onditions of lo ad .
- Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in yar d and warehouse.
- Delivers and unlo ad s materials to c ustomer' s satisfa c tion.
- Follows guidelines from supervisor.
- C ompletes daily equipment ins pe c tion.
- Re c ords all mer c handise that is returned by tru c k.
- C ompletes ne c essary paperwork su c h as delivery ti c kets and c redit slips.
- Pro vides ex c ellent c ustomer servi c e.
- Assists in unlo ad ing material returned for c redit.
- Relays messages sent by c ustomers while on job .
- Assists supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned.
- C omplies with all c ompany poli c ies and guidelines
- Parti c ipates in and c ompletes assigned trainings .
- May be subje c t to DOT and FM C SA jurisdi c tions and restri c tions.
- Typi c ally delivers raw materials to c ustomer.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum edu c ation preferred - High S c hool Diploma or general equivalen c y degree (GED).
- Minimum experien c e preferred -2 years experien c e driving tru c ks, prefer lumber dumping experien c e.
- Ability to do basi c math, re ad orders, writes ins tru c tions and c omplete forms.
- Ability to effe c tively and pro fessionally c ommuni c ate with c ustomers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills .
- Ability to deal c onstru c tively with c onfli c t and re c ognize potential pro blems.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting te c hniques.
- Mainta ins c urrent operator's li c ense and meets c ompany driver qualifi c ation requirements.
- Physi c al demands in c lude stooping, bending, twisting and throwing. Working in a variety of c limates and environmental c onditions. Ability to lift up 100 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.
- Pro fi c ien c y with or ability to learn c urrent te c hnologies ( e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other ne c essary business appli c ations).
