Description:
Performs hands-on metallurgical testing while working in a fast-paced laboratory setting. The position’s primary responsibilities include executing metallurgical tests on a variety of metals, accurately documenting test results in a report format, interacting with other departments and customers, interpreting and following part drawings, specifications, and instructions. Performs various types of metallographic testing including, but not limited to: Grain Size, Microstructure, Macrostructure, Surface Contamination/Alpha Case, Decarburization, Intergranular Attack/Oxidation, and Microhardness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science
1+ years of experience in metals testing, will consider internship/co-op experience
