Are you an experienced payroll coordinator? We are a fast-paced and deadline oriented corporate payroll office.
You would be a good fit if you are:
- Detail-oriented, experienced with computerized time keeping systems, Collective Bargaining Agreements and have a clear understanding of federal, state and local taxes.
- In addition, strong written and verbal skills and experience with Excel are required.
Your duties in addition to payroll may include:
- Resolving payroll discrepancies with facilities and employees,
- Filing taxes for multiple companies,
- Conducting monthly reconciliations, coordinating with other departments,
- Providing ongoing training for facility payroll staff.
- Travel throughout Michigan may be required on occasion.
- An in-depth understanding of accounting principles with an accounting degree is preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college or technical training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll processing.
