We’re looking for Warehouse Supervisors to work at our client location in Reno, NV! Earn up to $26.50/hr. in a fast paced, fun environment, managing warehouse operations. Our client is an industry leader in the aftermarket parts space.  

These are temp-to-hire positions – convert to a full-time employee after 480 hours of work!

About the Role:

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the management of day-to-day warehouse operations. Additionally, they are responsible for overseeing picking, shipping, receiving, RMA, etc., while ensuring work is completely timely, discrepancies reported, and placement and movement of products are kept orderly to maintain sufficient and up to date stock levels. Experience with day-to-day warehouse operations and ability to promote a culture of leadership and accountability are critical in this role. Works under the general direction and guidance of the Warehouse Manager.

Pay Rate: Earn up to $26.50/hr.

Available Shift Times:
  • First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm
  • Second Shift: Monday – Friday, 11am – 7pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with creation and implementation of daily operational goals and metrics to ensure the warehouse meets and delivers industry leading service levels.
  • Establish and utilize proper processes, tools, and resources to continuously optimize fulfillment operations and shipping logistics.
  • Collaborate with workers and management to solve work-related problems.
  • Manage projects required to achieve key business initiatives and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction, including monthly safety training.
  • Consistently communicate clear expectations to all warehouse employees.
  • Perform the same work duties as those supervised, or perform more difficult or skilled tasks to assist in their performance.
  • Direct the placement of and assist with shelving product.
  • Research and resolve errors and implement procedures to reduce future errors.
  • Ensure items are shipped to customers by coordinating the location of items, boxing product to ensure safe and damage-free shipping, and entering required information into system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Consistently adhere to and enforce established policies and procedures and set example of appropriate work behavior.
  • Provide leadership and create an environment which fosters effective, goal-focused performance for individual staff and team.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to relay general information or address specific topics with employees via staff meetings/daily stand-up meetings.
  • Ensure proper training and certifications for employees utilizing safety sensitive equipment such as forklifts, joeys, cherry/order pickers etc.
  • Review work throughout the process flow and at completion to ensure it has been performed properly.
  • Plan work schedules, assign duties to ensure effective performance, and maintain adequate staff in response to fluctuating workloads.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a distribution environment including experience as a Lead or Supervisor.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Experience working with state-of-the-art fulfillment and warehouse management systems.
  • Proven track record in problem solving and overall process improvement.
  • Possess goal-oriented mindset with focus on driving results.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, climb and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
  • Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, working in cramped workspaces and awkward positions, exposure to hazardous equipment and distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
  • Experience using ladders and forklifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and team lift up to 120 pounds on occasion.
  • Requires working in warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to adhere to attendance policies and requirements.
  • Ability to speak/read in English.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, in words and actions.
  • Possess strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail with focus on accuracy.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Exemplifies integrity and treats others fairly, honestly, and respectfully.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TEAMS.
