We’re looking for Warehouse Leads to work at our client location in Reno, NV! Earn up to $22/hr. in a fast paced, fun environment, managing warehouse operations. Our client is an industry leader in the aftermarket parts space.  

These are temp-to-hire positions – convert to a full-time employee after 480 hours of work!

About the Role:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the picking and shipping of all orders within the warehouse, as well as moving freight, packing, and boxing product in preparation for shipment to customers. Additionally, the Lead will receive and shelve product, ensuring that stock levels are replenished and up to date, maintain the safety and organization of warehouse, including sweeping and pickup up boxes, and help with inventory on periodically. This position serves as a mentor for other warehouse employees, and may be responsible for directing daily duties and ensuring completion of workloads when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. Works under the general direction and guidance of the Warehouse Manager.

Pay Rate: Earn up to $22/hr.

Available Shift Times:
  • First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm
  • Second Shift: Monday – Friday, 11am – 7pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive product that has been ordered and enter into computer system. Notify accounting product has been received. Place items in correct place on shelves.
  • Prepare items for shipment to customers by locating and moving items from shelves, boxing product to ensure safe shipping without item being damaged, and entering required information in system.
  • Move items by lifting or carrying by hand (may also use equipment such as forklifts, cherry picker, ladders, dollies etc.).
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, strapping, or shrink wrap to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Oversee daily workload and assign or reassign other warehouse employees as needed to ensure business needs are met.
  • Use handheld RF gun scanner and Sage computer systems to account for products being received or shipped, including receiving and processing RMAs.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and instructions.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • May be responsible for returned merchandise and crediting customers.
  • Responsible for directing and mentoring other warehouse employees when the Warehouse Manager is not available or present.
  • Ensure the daily processes and shift responsibilities are followed and completed for the day.
  • Communicate issues and identify problems to Manager/GM that may interrupt or interfere with the ability to maintain the normal daily routine.
  • Responsible for notifying Warehouse Manager, or higher-level of Manager, of issues or concerns that may have occurred during the Warehouse Managers absence, including, safety, performance, and other people related issues.
  • Partners with Warehouse Manager/GM on attendance and other performance related issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1 or more years of related experience in warehouse environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to multitask while utilizing independent judgement to make sound decisions and problem solve.
  • Internal and external customer-oriented attitude, with a strong desire to go above and beyond.
  • Ability to work with others, in a group or team, with responsibility for successful outcomes.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, climb and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
  • Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, working in cramped workspaces and awkward positions, exposure to hazardous equipment and distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
  • Experience using ladders and forklifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and team lift up to 120 pounds on occasion.
  • Requires working in warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to adhere to attendance policies and requirements.
  • Ability to speak/read in English.
