Progressive Care Unit – RN
 
Currently looking for qualified Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to fill full-time, 13-week contract opportunities in the Bloomington area for several Progressive Care units (PCU). We currently have both Day and Night shift opportunities available. Interested candidates must have 1-3 years of recent Progressive Care (PCU) experience, depending on the unit. Current pay is $46-$57 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Progressive Care Unit – RN

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, close monitoring, and intermediate-level care.
• Preform comprehensive assessments on patients. Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and other physiological parameters to identify changes or abnormalities. Evaluate health status and notify the provider when appropriate.
• Implement, manage and monitor patient's plan of care based on patient needs, condition/status, medical diagnoses, and treatment goals.
• Communicate and Collaborate effectively with physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and goals.
• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, including medication management, dietary restrictions, and symptom management techniques. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families as they navigate the challenges of coping with illness, hospitalization, and recovery.
• Document all patient care, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records.

Requirements of the Progressive Care Unit – RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed with in the state of Indiana
• 1-3 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility
• Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
• Must be okay with the possibility of floating 
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
• Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
