A Fireplace Installer is responsible for the professional installation of wood burning, electric and gas fireplaces safely into new homes, home remodels, and home additions. The individual in this role will follow manufacturer's installation instructions and Installed Building Products installation guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Install fireplaces according to FHH installation standards, manufacturer instructions and local building codes.
- Load and log materials and tools and keep track of returned materials.
- Maintain neat and orderly inventory area and warehouse.
- Provide regular maintenance services to keep fireplaces in optimal condition. This includes cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating components.
- Perform routing cleaning of the truck's interior and regularly inspect the truck for any maintenance needs.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with fireplaces to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Required for All Jobs
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- M inimum education preferred - High School Diploma
- M in imum experience required - Fireplace installation required, and Construction industry required
- Proficient mechanical skills using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Thorough attention to detail to ensure installations and repairs meet high-quality standards.
- Optimize time management skills and use strong diagnostic skills to quickly identify issues and determine solutions.
- Maintain working knowledge of all fireplaces, stove, and related home products along with any manufacturer's changes.
