LSF is looking for a talented Licensed Clinician who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

This position is for Migrant Wellness (ISAP) program. The clinician should be bilingual (English and Spanish) must be a Registered Intern or Licensed Clinician (Mental Health, Social Work, Marriage and Family).

Purpose and Impact:

Conducts mental health assessment and provides ongoing clinical services to clients referred to the program. In collaboration with the case management team, these services will be provided on an intensive, short-term basis and will require fluency with the policies of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) or other applicable regulatory agencies. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Conduct clinical intake assessment and provide ongoing clinical and crisis interventions for clients. 
  • Screens clients for human trafficking concerns.  
  • Collaborate regularly with case management team to provide the clinical perspective in the assessment, service provision, and discharge of clients within the ORR-mandated timeframes 
  • Conduct weekly individual counseling sessions and weekly group counseling sessions with clients 
  • Conduct sponsor assessments and provide clinical expertise in sponsor reunification cases 
  • Apply a working knowledge of child welfare best practices to protect all clients in care and mitigate risk factors where possible 
  • Maintain documentation of all clinical activities in accordance with ORR policy 
  • Maintain an updated, working knowledge of applicable regulatory/compliance policy and operating procedures 
  • Meet regularly with supervisor to consult on cases, review case plan decisions, and evaluate client progress 
  • Provide translation support as needed for clients, sponsors, and staff 
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to drive, have a valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record 
  • Must be able to work flexible and long hours 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment 

Education: 

  • Master’s degree in social work with clinical experience in the program, or Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement.  Must be licensed or eligible for licensure. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience relevant to the position and working with vulnerable, immigrant or migrant populations. 

Skills: 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to collaborate with others, including case management staff, educational team members, and supervisors 
  • Ability to practice cultural sensitivity and work effectively with diverse populations 
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours and on-call responsibilities 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions (using the UC Portal, Microsoft Office, and any internal case management software) 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
