Job Summary

As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, you'll innovate tools, theories, and expertise to enhance the specialty. You will work autonomously and collaboratively to create, implement, and assess development plans. Your goal is to improve workflows and patient outcomes and uphold professional standards in the practice.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify team members' learning needs, anticipate trends, and address potential issues using a systematic approach.
  • Identify, verify, and document professional practice gaps and outcomes in a structured manner to facilitate the education planning process.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational projects for employees of all career levels. Use research, theories, and experiences.
  • Work with stakeholders, utilize resources to plan and implement lifelong learning activities for people or groups.
  • Assess nursing practices with others. Ensure alignment with priorities and mission.
  • Earnestly participate in and help others with professional role development, role transitions within practice, and succession planning.
  • Act as a key influencer in promoting inter-professional learning, professional development, and practice transformations within the organization.
  • Promote scientific research and evidence-based practices through managing and sharing findings within local and national communities.
  • Incorporate ethics into educational program management, considering factors related to privacy, security, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Have at least (3) three years of relevant experience.
  • Be a Registered Nurse.
  • Obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment or upon transferring.
