Job Purpose

EX3- Sr. Financial Analyst – Treasury Reporting & Analytics 


American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) is currently seeking a Sr. Reporting and Analytics Treasury Analyst for our Treasury Capital Markets department.   The Sr.  Analyst supports the timely and accurate preparation of all internal and external reporting of the debt and derivative activity for AHFC. This includes accurate reporting in Treasury systems, system enhancements and upgrades. This position supports SOX, compliance and other regulatory requirements associated with our debt and derivative programs and maintains reliable funding sources with various banks, trustees and IPAs. This position provides supervising review / approval of all trades into Treasury system on timely manner to ensure timely month end / quarter end / year end close. This position also provides forecast / budget support as well as financial variance analysis for reporting and planning departments. 
 

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities included but not limited to:

 

  • Prepare debt and derivative footnotes for AHFC’s quarterly 10-Qs and annual 10-K SEC filings.  Prepare reports for Honda Motor for their quarterly reporting requirements
  • Maintain monthly accounting entries and reports for debt and derivate are timely and accurate
  • Daily Process of Treasury system and ensure accuracy of system
  • Review and approve all debt and derivative trades in debt and derivative system
  • Recommend Treasury system and reporting enhancements
  • Treasury forecast / budget and financial derivative variance analysis
  • Support SOX and audit requirements
     

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Qualifications: 

 

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA Preferred
  • 7+ Yrs. Experience in Financial industry
  • 3+ Yrs. Experience in Auto Industry 
  • Experience in SQL Database 
  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Knowledge of Treasury Systems 
  • Knowledge of accounting treatment and financial reporting 
  • Knowledge of accounting systems- PeopleSoft 
  • Knowledge of Financial Planning Systems – Hyperion 
  • Analytical skills/variance analysis (both internal and external)

Additional Position Factors: 
•    Workstyle: (4 days in office required at Torrance location, 1 day remote)
•    Travel 5%


Grade Level Pay Base - $81,800-$122,700
Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to work experience, education, etc.
