Description:
MLS/MLT Generalist with Blood Banking
The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized testing and quality control, understands theory of most tests and troubleshoots common technical problems.
Obtains blood specimens and collects nonblood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
Performs screening tests and reports results.
Processes specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing. Prepares specimens for reference laboratory dispatch and testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Associates Degree Required
Preferred MLT or MLS Certification
If not certified, MUST HAVE 1-2 years of experience in blood bank, a clinical lab (hospital or outpatient, not genetics, etc)
MUST have experience with Cerner LIS
Ideally have experience with any combination of the following: Sysmex, Stago, Siemens Novus, Grifols Eflexis
