Summary

The Shift Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Department and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all department staff members. She/he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
  • ACLS certification (American Heart or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of Basic EKG course
  • Certifications specific to areas of expertise

Minimum Experience

  • 2-3 years RN experience in clinical area
