Our client, a leader in the Chemical Manufacturing industry, is seeking an I&E Reliability Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic reliability support to ensure safe, cost-effective production of high product quality, and will be the SME for instrument and electrical reliability and long-term reliability strategies to optimize asset utilization.

 Job Title: I&E Reliability Engineer

Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana

Pay Range: $110,000 - $160,000 DOE

What’s the Job?

  • Conducts thorough analyses of I&E systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance reliability
  • Develops and implements effective maintenance strategies for I&E equipment to prolong asset life and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Investigates equipment failures and anomalies, performing root cause analyses to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability
  • Utilizes predictive maintenance tools and methodologies to monitor the performance of I&E systems and proactively address potential issues
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration for achieving reliability goals
  • Updates the site of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure I&E systems comply with safety and environmental requirements
  • Maintains accurate records of equipment performance, reliability metrics, and maintenance activities
  • Performs technical review of instrumented systems designs and modifications

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's or higher is required in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Control Systems Control Automation Engineering
  • 7 years or more experience in I&E Reliability Engineering required
  • Industry experience in petrochemical, chemical, or oil refining required.
  • Experience must be as plant owners' employee in a continuous process
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use database systems and other programs and applications used by this position and at Company
  • Working knowledge and proficient understanding and application of international standards:  ISO 55000, ISO 55001, ISO 55002, ISO 31000, NFPA85, NFPA 86, API 556, NFPA 70, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119
  • Proficiency in the following technologies: Control Valves, Process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level), Motors, motor controls, and drives, Analyzers and sample systems
  • Basic knowledge of power distribution systems
  • Certification in the following areas Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Professional Engineer in Control Systems (P.E., CSE) highly desirable
