Position Summary:

This is a non-exempt position that performs Echocardiographic and other diagnostic cardiology procedures.

Essential Functions
1. Performs standard and advanced cardiography and vascular procedures such as graded exercise testing, echocardiography (2D/M Mode/Color Flow/Doppler), transesophageal examinations (TEE), EKG tracings, and treadmill stress testing.
2. Provides emotional support, comfort, general assistance, and information to patients.
3. Coordinates or collaborates with physicians and nursing staff.
4. Maintains, calibrates, and performs quality control checks on equipment.
5. Performs associated clerical and coordination activities including scheduling, charging, and sending/storing data.
6. Documents tasks and results to the patient record.
7. Assists MD with the daily flow of clinic patients obtaining vital signs, ht, wt, etc.


Minimum Education
A High school diploma or equivalent is required
An Associateā€™s degree is required

Required Skills
The applicant must be in good standing with ARMDS or CCI.

Required Licenses
  • Radiologic Technologist and Technician
  • Ā Graduate of a CAAHEP/JRC-DMS approved School of Cardiac or Vascular Sonography or an AAS degree in Radiologic Science or other healthcare-related degree with appropriate credentials.
  • BLS required, or obtained during first week of hire
