Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs with students and families under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor, typically in a school-based setting. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) requires specific certification. Treatment plans are designed to address skill acquisition as well as challenging behavior reduction and may occur in a variety of settings including the student’s classroom and during other school activities. Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBT) report to the assigned Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). This position has no direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES | WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Provide direct treatment and interventions to students under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor in a school setting and in a 1:1 or group environment
  • Collect and maintain accurate and timely records, record data, and chart client's progress with high fidelity.
  • Review and implement BCBA feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain compliance with RBT Ethics Code in collaboration with Clinical Supervisors
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with students, families, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students, families, and colleagues
  • Seek personal growth and training opportunities to ensure clinical excellence
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and/or FERPA requirements
  • Represent New Story professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to New Story and school-specific policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS | WHAT YOU BRING
  • High School Diploma, required
  • BA/BS Psychology, education, child development, or another related field; preferred
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Be in good standing for Insurance Credentialing
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse and Neglect, Fingerprinting.
  • Must pass tuberculosis test or provide proof of recent negative test 1 year
  • Must pass by annual First Aid/CPR training
  • Must pass annual MANDT Training
  • Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance
  • Must pass tuberculosis test or provide proof of recent negative test 1 year
  • Available for weekday hours; weekend and event hours as needed
